According
to the World Health Organization (WHO), the global market
for Traditional Medicine currently stands at over US$60
billion annually and is growing steadily. With the WHO
pushing for the promotion of traditional medicine and
its integration into health care systems, the outlook
for the Traditional Medicine industry indeed looks promising.
Singapore will play host to the inaugural Traditional
Medicine Expo (TMExpo) from 4-6 December 2009 at Suntec
City International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Organized by the Singapore TCM Organisations Committee
(STOC), TMExpo 2009 will be the premiere event for organizations
involved in patented medicine, raw herbs, herbal extracts,
health supplements, health care and therapy, as well
as equipment and related services. Open to trade and
members of the public, the three-day event is expected
to attract attendees from across the globe.
Through the Traditional Medicine Expo , visitors will
be able to gain a deeper understanding of the latest
trends and developments in the Traditional Medicine
arena as well as the regulatory framework for Traditional
Medicine in the various ASEAN markets.
